On December 24, 2019 the students of the orthopedic stomatology department (the group SО-11/19) organized an event to celebrate Catholic Christmas. Participants told interesting facts about holiday symbols, presented a classic Christmas pie recipe, sang a carol. The guests of the event were invited to the holiday dinner.
The deputy director of educational work Nataliia Lonchuk congratulated the students with the holiday. The event took place in a cozy, friendly atmosphere.
During the preparation of the event, the students were improving the soft skills – general skills and personal qualities needed in the modern world. After all, extracurricular work helps to develop the key skills that shape the 4C model. These are four key competences, the names of which begin with the letter “C” – critical thinking (the ability to evaluate information critically, analyze it), creativity (ability to think, find unexpected solutions to the problem), communication skills (ability to communicate, negotiate), coordination (ability to work in teams, share roles). They need to be developed by every education recipient in order to be in demand in the labor market in the future.

Olena Brylevich, the teacher of Nursing
It was an excellent and interesting event! It is much more interesting to study English in such an atmosphere. Communication in the team, experiences, and, of course, pleasant words from the guests who came to the holiday, inspire us. I was very glad to be a part of this little Christmas fairy tale!
Snizhana Chervona, the student of the group SО-11/19
The Сhristmas Eve was held as a part of an ethnographic project. The aroma of holiday pie, gingerbread cookies, presentation of symbols helped the project participants to create the atmosphere of a real holiday.
